Each board is flattened, milled, hand sanded, and finished with a long soak in high quality food-grade mineral oil. We further increase the durability with an initial application of Timbers Sawdust Board Butter to seal the surface. All of our board products also include a complimentary 2 oz. jar of Timbers Sawdust Board Butter. We encourage you to use it to bring life back into your other boards as well!

An important note regarding Epoxy Inlays: The Epoxy Inlay option is a wonderful way to add personalization in a very elegant style, but it is not without its limitations. Epoxy is a man-made product that becomes quite hard, similar to that of acrylic. While it does offer some resistance to scratching, we do not recommend using it with any sharp knives or heavy cutting force. It is especially important to note that epoxy is heat sensitive, as are most other plastics. Do not place any item that exceeds 120°F onto the epoxy surface. Excessive heat exposure is not considered a defect in material or workmanship and will cause irreversible damage to the epoxy, such as yellowing or other discoloration, curling, melting, or other undesirable effects.
